I don't have a problem spending SOME cash to upgrade either, but I don't think It's really possible for me to do anything without essentially re-building an entire new system. It seems absurd to me that i can run all those other games fine, but apparently i need to upgrade to be able to play the game that has no physics engine and uses 2d sprites. Video: 256 MB Dedicated Video Card / Video: nVidea GTX 285 - 1GB Memory: 2 GB RAM / Memory: 4 Gigs DDR2 RAM (XP can only utilize 3.25 or so i believe)
OS: Windows XP (SP2+), Vista or 7 / OS:Windows XPĬPU: Dual Core 1.5 GHz CPU or higher / CPU: Core 2 Duo 2.67 Ghz Basically what I'm saying is, my system easily exceeds the recommended minimum system requirements for Scourge of War: Gettysburg. I've played through plenty of system intensive games with it: Crysis, Far Cry 2, Red Faction Guerrilla, Skyrim, Arma 2, Empire total war, Napoleon total war, and Shogun 2 total war, I even play fairly new games with it just fine: Red Orchestra 2, Wargame: airland battle, Kerbal Space Program and Verdun and not on low system settings either, usually on medium-high. I can understand "red-listing" those who play on 10 year old laptops which don't even meet the minimum system requirements of the game but my PC, while it may be somewhat aged now, cost me about $1,000 and was a beast when I built it about 6 years ago specifically for gaming. While i completely understand and even agree with the reasoning behind this, i would argue that I've been playing in big games for almost 2 years and the vast majority of them ran just fine with no complaints from other players. And while there has always been the rare/occasional game that seemed to run slowly Lag, for the most part seems to have not been much of an issue until the last few months, during which time myself and certain other players have been deemed to have "slow pc's" and have had their names changed to red and are essentially banned/blacklisted from larger games.
Let me also say that I've been playing this game online (mostly lag free) with you guys fairly regularly for almost 2 years now. Gentlemen, I hate for this to have to be my first post on these forums, and let me start by saying I completely understand the issue and that i don't want to play in a laggy game as much as the next guy. (Sorry I only just saw Scott's new thread right as i posted mine)
